Students learn how to handle sensitive patient data, maintain compliance with regulations like HIPAA, and improve the financial performance of healthcare organizations through accurate coding and billing processes. This program lays the foundation for certifications in healthcare management like American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and AAPC Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA).
