TAKE THE FIRST STEP.
Enrollment Deadline - June 19, 2023
Questions about whether this program is right for you? We’ll help match you with the best program to meet your career goals.
Starting with the May 2023 term, attendance will now be submitted and recorded through weekly Attendance Quizzes. These quizzes will support the course material while also allowing you to stay engaged with a quicker and easier attendance process. Make sure you are completing these on time to stay within your attendance requirement!
Reminder: Students may not exceed 14 days of consecutive non-attendance.
If you have additional questions or need extra support, please book an appointment with your student success advisor.
There are three (3) five-week terms in a semester evaluation period. At the conclusion of each semester period, a student’s grades and progress are evaluated. Learn more about Satisfactory Academic Progress.
The weekly discussion questions will still be an assignment towards your grades, but they will no longer count towards attendance.
No, they are all due on Saturday.
Yes, you can work ahead! All 3 attendance quizzes are available at the beginning of each week, so you can complete them at once for that week’s attendance.
The design and the intent of the new attendance format is to provide students more time flexibility and less stress rather than additive assignments on top. Many students have found it challenging to dedicate the time needed during the week for in-depth discussion questions, did not prefer the reliance on other students’ activities (ie. discussion replies), and requested fewer deadlines during the week to balance work, family, and more. We react to ongoing feedback from students from multiple channels including end-of-course surveys (we read EVERY comment, one-on-one student advising sessions, phone calls, emails, class feedback through instructors, grades and performance data, and more).
The Attendance Quiz is worth 1 point.
Whether you get the attendance right or wrong, you’ll still receive attendance for complete on the attendance quizzes.
This change has no impact on your financial aid including GI Bill. We’d be happy to go through anything you’re worried about for your personal funding concerns, for extra financial aid support please email financialaid@ciat.edu.
Live lectures are highly encouraged but not required, you must complete attendance quizzes to receive attendance credit.
Attendance quizzes are automatically graded and reflected in your Canvas gradebook.
