Programming Languages
Learn the Coding Languages and Platforms Employers Look For
Explore Software Development Technologies:
Python
At its core, Python is a high-level programming language. It is an object-oriented, interpreted language with dynamic semantics. It can be used as a glue language or for scripting in order to connect different components that are already existing. Its high-level data structures, as well as its dynamic binding and typing allow for it to be valuable for Rapid Application Development, which is a certain software development model which focuses more on development and prototyping instead of task planning. With Python being one of the top-most used programming languages out there, it is in high demand.
HTML / CSS / JavaScript
Three of the most important “front end” languages are HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These all have specific uses, and all three are used to design websites. They help define form, function, and style – and are all necessary skills to become web developer.
ASP.net
Originally developed by Microsoft, ASP.NET is an extension of the .NET platform. Its main use is specifically for building web application through some of its advanced features. ASP.NET has increased the number of things that .NET can do. ASP.NET is a highly versatile skill, just like the platform itself. Developers are using the framework to build things like payment gateways, multi-factor authorization requests, desktop & mobile applications, and more!
PHP & MySql
The field of software development continues to grow as economies integrate with web-based applications to participate in e-commerce. Combining PHP and MySQL provides limitless opportunities to create just about any kind of widget or website, from a simple contact form in a mom-and-pop shop website to a large corporate portal. With such a positive trend in the demand for web developers, education and certification in MySQL and PHP remains a critical basis for obtaining a rewarding career.
SQL
MySQL is a Relational Database Management System, or RDBMS (which is software that is used to store, manage, query, and retrieve data in a relational database), that uses what’s called Structured Query Language (SQL). SQL is also open source, and is the most popular language for compiling, retrieving, and managing data in a database. It is known for it’s accessibility, speed, reliability, flexibility, and ease of use.
Linux
Linux is a computer operating system similar to Windows, iOS, and Mac OS, and is likewise one of the most popular. The Linux operating system originated in the 1990s, and now has a global user-base. From smartphones, to cars, thermostats, streaming devices, home appliances, and much more – the Linux operating system is practically everywhere. It actually maintains most of the Internet itself, including all of the world’s stock exchanges and supercomputers.
PowerShell
As one of the more modern solutions for task automation, it includes favorite features from almost all major shells. PowerShell is built on the .NET Common Language Runtime. As such, all PowerShell inputs and outputs are objects in the .NET family. This sets it apart from other shells that cannot accomplish this task. PowerShell is most widely-known for the command-line shell, script language, and management framework it provides.
React Native
Mobile application developers rely on frameworks such as React Native to create native Android and iOS interfaces. React Native is one of the best frameworks for hybrid app development, which is quickly becoming a favored type of development process. This particular framework is actually a JavaScript library owned by Facebook, otherwise referred to as Meta.
DevNet
Recently, Cisco and other networking organizations have embraced an exciting newer technique to configure networks more rapidly. By developing software programs, network engineers can now automate the orchestration of networking environments. What used to take days or weeks can now be reduced to hours or even minutes.
iOS
The iOS programming platform is used to create apps for the Apple mobile operating system. To reiterate, these apps are used specifically for Apple devices, not Android devices. The latter devices use Google Play in order to download Android apps, whereas iOS users visit The App Store. To date, there are over 4 million iOS apps available for download.
Android
The open-source Android platform benefits from a large supportive community. Features of this platform include location tracking, augmented and virtual reality support, audio and video media support, as well as numerous connectivity applications. While there are not as many apps available on the Android platform as there are on the iOS platform, most people use Android apps for communication and business to download tools for daily and professional life.
Mean Stack Development
MEAN stack development is a free and open source technology used to build web applications that are both quick and sustainable. Built for the cloud, MEAN stack development is a free JavaScript app that keeps memory overhead low.
C#
In use for over two decades, C# has earned a reputation for being a useful and versatile programming language. At its heart, it’s an object-oriented language, which can easily be used to create and utilize software components. As a general-purpose language, it has a ton of different uses. C# developers are in really high demand.
