Hello, I’m Randy Velliquette, an IT professional with over two decades of experience in IT infrastructure and information assurance. Currently based in the vibrant tech landscape of San Diego, I specialize in cloud security and the Risk Management Framework, particularly in alignment with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy. When I’m not immersed in the dynamic realm of cyber security, you’ll find me in my home lab, where I passionately explore virtualization, containerization, and zero-trust architectures. This hands-on approach allows me to better understand the intricacies of these technologies and their profound implications for cybersecurity. My commitment to enhancing cybersecurity awareness and promoting robust solutions has been a driving force throughout my career. I’m excited to continue contributing to the ever-evolving world of IT, sharing knowledge, and collaborating with fellow enthusiasts and experts alike.

Industry Experience: My journey in the tech world has been enriched by a diverse range of experiences including my 16-year career in the Marine Corps, specializing in the communications field which laid a solid foundation for my tech exploration. As a life-long-learner and guided by a thirst for knowledge, I earned a master’s degree in information assurance and certified ethical hacking as well as secured certifications in AWS, CompTIA Security+, and Network+. These certifications reflect my dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
