Understanding the cost of your education is the first step toward planning for it. We know that figuring out how to invest in your education can feel complicated, that's why you're never navigating it alone.
This page breaks down total cost of attendance estimates including tuition rates, technology fees, and course lab fees, so you know exactly what to expect. CIAT's Financial Aid team will build a personalized financial projection for you and help navigate your eligibility and qualifications for federal financial aid and other funding including grants, scholarships, employer tuition benefits, and payment plans to help you design an affordable and financially responsible plan with a clear path towards a positive ROI on your investment.
Technology fees are added per program at a rate of $50 per term for technical, business or healthcare courses (non-general education courses). CIAT ensures you have everything you need to succeed from day one, covering the virtual classroom access, software subscriptions, and digital tools that power your learning experience, so you can focus on building your skills instead of managing tech logistics.
Lab and equipment fees apply to specific courses within select programs. Hands-on labs give you real-world, career-ready skills — the kind of practical experience that sets CIAT graduates apart in the job market. Lab fees are required when specialty equipment or licenses are needed to deploy lab projects.
Every additional service you might need, from official transcripts and credit transfer assessments to challenge exams, dual certificates, and online library access, is clearly outlined with no hidden surprises. Most are provided at no charge.
While CIAT does not provide on-campus room and board, federal disclosure requirements ask us to publish estimated living expense figures so you can factor them into your overall budget and financial aid planning as you pursue your education.
Tuition is only part of the picture. Most CIAT students significantly reduce, or eliminate, their out-of-pocket costs by combining multiple funding sources. Here's where to start:
CIAT has awarded over $5 million in scholarships. Eligible students can earn up to $15,000.
CIAT is FAFSA-eligible. Pell Grants, Direct Loans, and more may be available to you.
Active duty, veterans, and dependents may qualify for GI Bill® benefits or DoD Tuition Assistance.
If your employer offers tuition assistance, the CIAT Workforce Grant can cover the rest.
California residents may qualify for additional state-funded aid.
Prefer to pay over time with no interest?
CIAT offers several scholarship opportunities that can significantly reduce your total tuition cost. Scholarships are applied directly to your program and do not need to be repaid. Request a personalized financial plan to find out which scholarships you may qualify for and how they can be combined with other aid sources.
Already have college credits or a prior degree? CIAT accepts transfer credits that can reduce the number of courses and the total cost of your program. Students with existing degrees may qualify for accelerated pathways that bypass general education requirements entirely.
The total cost for your CIAT program depends on its length, number of credits, transfer credits, and any scholarships for which you qualify. CIAT offers a range of programs, from short-term bootcamps to four-year bachelor’s degrees, with varying costs. Most tuition includes textbooks and course materials. Many programs also cover certification exam vouchers, like CompTIA Security+ or CCNA. Ask your advisor for program-specific details.
The technology fee supports online resources, platforms, and technical support. The amount varies by program and appears in the table above.
Eligible students can access Pell Grants, Direct Loans, and military benefits. Our financial team will help maximize your options.
Aid varies by need, dependency, and costs. Pell Grants offer up to $6,895 annually, and loans have set limits. Many students use additional scholarships and grants to reduce costs.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required for all federal aid. Complete it at fafsa.gov. The Financial Aid team at CIAT can guide you through the process, help you avoid common errors, and ensure your application is accurate.
The FAFSA takes 30–60 minutes and asks for your, and if dependent, your family’s, financial details. Our team can help ensure accuracy for maximum aid.
