I am an educator, AACTE Holmes Scholar, and doctoral student in educational leadership with a master’s degree in English Literature and Composition. I teach writing, literature, and critical thinking courses in both online and in-person formats across various public and private higher education institutions in California. My work is grounded in interdisciplinary learning, inclusive pedagogy, and helping students develop as thoughtful, effective communicators. My master’s research examined postcolonial and decolonial literature, with an emphasis on community and socio-cultural hybridity.
My current doctoral research focuses on the ethical and equitable integration of emerging technologies in higher education, with particular attention to general education and first-year experience programs. I am the founder and current program coordinator of College-to-Community, a grant-funded peer-mentoring initiative at California State University, San Bernardino that partners with local K–12 schools to support student transition, access, and belonging. I also serve on the board of directors for the Association of Latino, Faculty, Staff, and Students supporting initiatives that promote access, advocacy, community engagement, and student success.
Outside of the teaching and research, I love camping, reading, baking, running, and spending time with my family and many pets.
