I graduated from Oregon State University in 2013 before moving on to Northeastern for my graduate degree in IT project management. I juggled a few internships with a leading video game developer while in grad school full-time so I understand what it feels like to juggle different responsibilities. I’ve been in the IT field for over ten years and I still love it. I was never someone content with static careers, I needed to always be learning new things and having an ever-changing environment. It’s part of why technology appealed to me – there are always new things and new things to learn and improve.
I’m Jaina and I love technology in all its forms. I grew up with entrepreneurial parents and an older brother who refused to rebuild the electronics he took apart, so I learned early on how to puzzle out solutions to random problems. From rebuilding hardware that I had no idea what it started life as to listening to my parents talk about the essentials of building a quality business, I’ve had business and technology as a part of me from a very early age. When it came to college, I decided to try and find the best of both worlds which is what landed me on business information systems as a major. I loved the hybrid approach to learning both coding and cash flow, hardware and human resources. It really helped me gain the foundation necessary to be a jack of all trades in my career.
