Calculus-2 is a continuation of Calculus-1, covering applications of derivatives. Topics will also include antiderivatives and definite integrals.

  • Definition of maximum and minimum values, how derivatives affect the shape of a graph, The First Derivative Test, Concavity Test, L’Hospital’s Rule
  • First Derivative Test for Absolute Extreme Values, Profit function, Antiderivatives
  • Areas and distances, The definite integral, Properties of the definite integral, The fundamental theorem of Calculus.
  • Review of all objectives covered in class

Prerequisites

Completion of MTH205: Calculus 1 course or an equivalent course in Math
