Louis Rey has over 25 years of experience in teaching technology and engineering subjects, he has experience teaching several programming languages such as C, C# C++, SQL, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Louis currently teaches at CSU San Marcos where he is an Electrical Engineering lecturer in Digital Signal Processing, PLC programming, MATLAB and LabView. He is also an instructor at UCSD Extension where he has taught course in Python, Python Unittesting, PLC programming, Digital Video Processing and Video Compression Algorithms. Louis holds an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University.
Louis currently works at the Naval Information Warfare Center where he focuses on research projects in the areas of 3G, 4G, 5G and NextG mobile communications systems as well as Narrowband Satellite Communications and Machine Learning. He has previously worked in the private sector for several companies focused in different areas such as video coding/compression, testing and certification, wireless communications, raw material mining and analysis, opto-electronics (radiometry, photometry, colorimetry and position sensing). Among his many passions, apart from teaching, are monetary and financial analysis, and music.
