Background and Industry Experience

I bring 7+ years of experience in chemistry research, pharmaceutical quality control, and data analytics. My background includes graduate research in organic chemistry at CSULB, working as a Quality Control and R&D Scientist at Trace-Ability Inc. on FDA-approved radiopharmaceutical platforms, and serving as Lead ML Engineer at Omdena. I currently teach Data Analytics at Calbright College and use Python and SQL to incorporate real-world, data-driven examples into my chemistry courses.

I’m passionate about making chemistry relevant! My background spans chemistry research (including work on Metal-Organic Frameworks, a 2024 Nobel Prize-winning field), pharmaceutical development, and machine learning. Outside of teaching, I’m a rock climber, snowboarder and combat sports enthusiast who loves JiuJitsu and sustainable living. I believe chemistry is a powerful toolkit for understanding and improving the world around us!
