Bianca Chapman is an educator, teaching artist, and interdisciplinary practitioner with over 15 years of experience in higher education. She has taught across a range of writing, communication, and professional development courses, working closely with diverse student populations including first-generation college students, working adults, and returning learners. Her teaching is rooted in a commitment to equity, access, and student-centered learning, with an emphasis on helping students develop confidence in their voices both inside and beyond the classroom.
In addition to her academic work, Bianca is a certified yoga instructor and an internationally recognized salsa and bachata dancer, instructor, and choreographer. She has taught and performed at conferences, festivals, and workshops around the world, bringing a global perspective to her work in movement, storytelling, and cultural expression.
Bianca’s teaching philosophy is grounded in a holistic and interdisciplinary approach that integrates writing, movement, mindfulness, and creative expression. She believes that communication is not limited to the written word, but lives in the body, in culture, and in community. Through this lens, she designs learning experiences that encourage students to engage critically, reflect deeply, and connect their academic work to their lived experiences.
