Background and Industry Experience

Alfonso Sanchez is the Associate Dean of Education: General Education, bringing over a decade of experience in education across both the public and private sectors. He is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and holds a Master’s degree in English with an emphasis in Rhetoric, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. His background includes institutional leadership, entrepreneurship, and teaching English and Literature at several universities in the San Diego area. He is committed to advancing academic quality, student success, and innovation in higher education. Outside of work, he is a father of four, an avid soccer fan, and an active facilitator of community book clubs.
