Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations
CIAT CRRSAA Financial Aid Grant applications are now open from July 1, 2021 to August 15, 2021.
Please monitor this application page for future application submission dates.
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act grant fund will allow us to award financial aid grant to eligible students with exceptional need.
While students currently receiving Pell Grant will be considered with priority, students do not need to be Pell recipients or Pell Grants eligible to apply to the CRRSAA Grant. However, students need to be exclusively enrolled in distance education.
CIAT will divide the grant by the number of approved applications and disburse the funds equally to everyone who meets the qualification criteria by the disclosed deadlines.
Please review the eligibility guidelines below as there are some unique requirements that the federal government has for institutions to award CRRSAA Financial Aid Grants to students:
1. Exceptional Need
2. Expense Period
Allowable cost must incur on or after March 13, 2020
3. Distance Education
This grant is exclusively for online students. Currently all CIAT students are taking online classes in response to the restrictions and safety guidelines during COVID-19. Both Campus Live and Flex Online students are thus eligible to apply to the CRRSAA Financial Aid Grant.
4. Priority for Pell Recipient
The U.S. Department of Education has guidelines to prioritize Pell recipients for CRRSAA Financial Aid Grant. However, students do not need to be Pell recipients or Pell Grants eligible to apply.
