This course prepares students to build and manage a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program aligned to the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the official ISC2 Certified in Governance, Risk and Compliance (CGRC) certification. Students’ progress through the full RMF lifecycle: establishing governance and risk management foundations, scoping a system, selecting and tailoring controls, implementing and documenting those controls, assessing and auditing their effectiveness, determining system compliance, and maintaining compliance through ongoing monitoring. Course content and assessments are drawn directly from the official ISC2 CGRC curriculum, giving students a direct path toward certification. Students complete realistic GRC artifacts and hands-on exercises that mirror tasks performed by working GRC professionals.
