Background and Industry Experience

About Me:

U.S. Navy veteran with over 12 years’ experience in information technology and tactical medicine. My journey began during my time in the service as a Hospital Corpsman, cross-training into a system administrator role to fill staffing shortages of the battalion. Upon my return to the states, I was approached by a government agency and encouraged to apply after completing my bachelor’s degree to fill their cyber professional needs. From here, I am able to continue my career in an information technology field while maintaining my emergency medical certifications and skills through kinetic law enforcement operations.
Industry Experience: Provided cyber security policy and technical expertise to support the Department of Justice as an Information System Security Officer, working with different agencies across northern California to enhance their security posture and audit information systems. Supported the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) security infrastructure as a cyber-engineer, performing automated security scan analysis and preparing artifacts for system accreditation packages. Conducted operational and clinical medical support for the U.S. Navy at several international and domestic installations across the globe, supporting the USMC cybersecurity workforce with software development for the safety and security of service members stationed overseas. Certifications: ISC2 SSCP, ISC2 CAP (CGRC). – B.S. in Cybersecurity from AMU – A.S. in health Sciences from AMU – A.S. in Administration of Justice from CCSF
