Carolyn developed courses while teaching post-secondary education in ethics, psychology, sociology, career development, organizational development, management, sales/marketing, and technology/society/culture. Awarded teacher of the month in both 2023 and 2025, Carolyn’s teaching philosophy comes from years of teaching experience. Her mission as a teacher is to promote positive learning, spark learner enthusiasm, and provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Carolyn’s teaching is also from a base that encompasses a repertoire of effective teaching strategies that accommodate individual preferences. Her background includes integrated circuit design engineer, process designer, process lab inspection manager, licensed contractor, small business owner, and counselor. She enjoys teaching and interacting with diverse populations and her hobbies include sci-fi/fantasy, historical fiction, science/technology reading. Carolyn believes embracing change and lifelong learning are keys to continued growth. Progress is history in the making.
