About This Event:
The Center for Strategic and International Studies declared cybercrime to be a “$1trillion dollar drag on the global economy” which harmed public safety, undermined state security and damaged individual economies.
Analysis by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance found that nearly $50 billion in 2021 was reported lost by internet users to scams and frauds with detection and prosecution of offenders estimated to be as low as 0.05%
(ISC)2 Auckland Chapter session is hosting a one day online event with a variety of speakers who will shine a light on cybercrime and the efforts being made to prevent more people from falling victim.
