CIAT is partnering with Seminole State College and Crooms Academy of Information Technology to host a hands-on cybersecurity outreach event for Crooms Academy cybersecurity students.

Students at every level are welcome, from those just starting out to those already building advanced skills. The session gives students a real-world look at how organizations protect their systems, and a chance to put their skills to the test.

- Cybersecurity outreach presentation: An overview of the cybersecurity field, the career paths it offers, and the skills employers are looking for.

- Introduction to servers: A look at the systems that power every organization’s network, focused on two widely used platforms: Debian 12, a popular, stable Linux distribution used across industry and Windows Server 2022, Microsoft’s enterprise server platform.

- Student and industry speakers: First-hand perspectives on studying cybersecurity, earning certifications, and launching a career in the field.

- Blue Team Capture the Flag (CTF) competition: Running throughout the event, the CTF puts students in the role of defenders as they identify threats and secure systems.

- Sponsor-supported prizes: Top student performers in the CTF will be recognized with prizes from event sponsors.
