About CIS280A – Cisco DevNet Associate, Part 1

This course represents the 1st half in a two-part class for the Cisco DevNet Associate certification exams: 200-901. This course provides most of the core objectives coverage and practical preparation for the first half of the DevNet Associate certification for industry professionals including but not limited to data formats (XML, JSON, YAML), software development methods, version management with Git, exploring API’s, Python language as used with CISCO, and constructing code to be used with CISCO devices.   • Python conventions, the basics of the Python Language, REST and API’s, HTTP
  • Webhooks, REST API, HTTP response codes and Python Scripts
  • SDK’s, Network Management and Computing Management Platforms, and security platforms
  • CISCO 200-901 Certification Assessment


Some experience with the use of computers in general is recommended. Completion of the CCNA courses(CIS270A and 270B), and the completion of the Net+ coursework/certification or the equivalent experience in networking.
