We believe in transparency. Here’s how class sizes break down across our course categories, including the average class size so you get a clear picture of the classroom experience.
At CIAT, small classes are part of how we help every student get personal attention. Our class sizes come from actual course registration records for the most recent 12 months (October 2025 - September 2026). We count each instructor-led course section, using the number of students registered in that section.
Across all departments, the average class size is 23:1, based on 1,008 course sections. Averages vary by department, from 8:1 in our more specialized programs to 27:1 in our most popular ones. These calculations are updated quarterly, so they always reflect a full, current year of classes.

Our average class size is 23:1, and many course groups are smaller still, averaging 9:1. We keep classes small so every student gets meaningful instructor access and individual feedback.
