COVID-19 Update
To our Military Veterans:
Congratulations on completing your final class of the 2021 academic year. We wanted to send a few updates as we get closer to the upcoming expiration date of the COVID provisions for on-ground classes.
First and foremost, we want to extend our immense gratitude for all students who have worked with us in a positive and solution-oriented manner, providing suggestions and ideas as we navigate ways to support all of you through this end of year transition, the ongoing pandemic, and VA regulations.

ATTN: CIAT Veteran Resident Students Relying On Resident MHA Rates
There is legislation in progress, known as The REMOTE Act, that calls for an extension of provisions to protect veteran’s resident housing benefits through June 1, 2021. Yesterday, December 15th, this legislation successfully passed the Senate and is expected to be signed into law on or before the December 21st expiration date. As we all know, the pandemic is far from over, and the passage of this bill gives CIAT and all of you more time to prepare your future academic plans without facing financial uncertainty or risking your health to gain an education.

Secondly, we’d like to acknowledge and take responsibility for the uncertainty, anxiety, and frustration many of you felt this past month. As a small school who relies on swift thinking and quick actions to provide rapid support for our students, this is a time where we learned a series of great lessons. We learned the value in planning ahead for high impact student changes. We learned the value in building an effective communication plan that delivers swift, ongoing, information centered in transparency. And most importantly, we learned the strength and commitment of our CIAT student community.
Our decisions and actions stem from nothing more than our desire to build the highest quality, career-centered academic experience within the constraints and resources we have in place. We hold you, our students, to high standards of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. We couldn’t ask you to do so if we weren’t willing to do the same. Since the beginning of CIAT, we have prided ourselves in listening and acting on student feedback and that mantra will continue as we grow.
We are committed to supporting you through this next phase of the pandemic and through a successful completion of your current program. Based on the latest guidance we’ve received from our VA officials, CIAT is planning for a series of new changes to support our veterans, including limited on-ground class sessions starting June 2022 and a commitment to supporting students through their graduation date.
We thank you for your patience as we finalize the logistics and planning required and give you our commitment that we will keep you updated through the planning process. All upcoming changes will be posted to our website as we will be working to build a new comprehensive online COVID Resource Library with more FAQs, documentation, and more. Feel free to respond to this email with any one-on-questions you have for your unique program or funding requirements. We are here and open to continue supporting each and every one of you.
We wish you a restful and rejuvenating holiday season.
– Your CIAT Management Team
