CIAT will transition to a 100% virtual campus starting in January 2022

Coronavirus Update

A Message From Our President:

Dear Students,

Welcome to the start of your final term in 2021. We are filled with pride and gratitude as we reflect on the growth and changes over the last year.

It has been inspiring to watch you challenge yourselves daily, pushing yourselves outside of your comfort zone, in pursuit of your education and career goals. We watch as you grow and adapt to changes each term – personally and professionally – learning new skills and preparing yourself for an exciting and challenging technology career.
Watching your growth has inspired our own goals for change. Over 75% of new students in 2021 declared themselves an online student. The CIAT student community is stronger, more diverse, and more career-focused than ever before, and we maintain committed to executing our mission – to provide personalized training through comprehensive, innovative, and high-quality vocational programs that prepare students for a rewarding profession in growing career fields.

Supporting students from coast to coast, we continue to innovate both in and out of the classroom to achieve this mission. We are excited to announce our biggest development since our inception – CIAT will transition to a 100% virtual campus starting in January 2022.

“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.” – Albert Einstein

The world expected a swift conclusion to the pandemic and to bounce back to a pre-pandemic sense of normalcy. What we learned, in fact, is that this time has reshaped expectations and has opened the possibilities for more remote work and learning environments. We have experienced a rise in students seeking 100% remote career opportunities and live virtual academic support to feel connected to their classmates and instructors. Additionally, many students have shared the positive impacts of distance learning – a greater ability to balance school and work commitments, less time commuting in traffic, more time with family, and more personal schedule flexibility.
To our San Diego resident students – it’s important to share with you that we weighed the pros and cons of reopening our campuses heavily. Our commitment to your educational success remains forefront in our decision making. The requirements to reopen our campus safely include mask wearing, physical distancing, facility upgrades with added ventilation, symptom screening, contact tracing, vaccination mandates, and routine testing screening.

Investing time and resources for these critical safety accommodations would divert our resources away from the work we do daily to ensure a high quality and equitable learning experience for all students.

To all our students, nationwide – you are investing in yourself, to build a better future for yourself and your families. In turn, our investment in you and your success will continue to increase in exciting ways in 2022!

Enhancements Coming In 2022 and beyond:

  • Increased availability of live virtual classes, virtual workshops, and community engagement.
  • Increased career services support to ensure you reach your vocational goals.
  • Revamped virtual hands-on labs and project-based learning environments that mimic experiences in a physical classroom.
  • A revised academic schedule with added academic breaks to allow you more time for mental preparation, certification exam preparation, coding portfolio development, and career development.
  • New program development to expand your resume of skills including courses in data management, IT project management, software development, and web development.
  • Increased investment in resources and staff members including new technology support for your virtual classrooms, more expert faculty to maintain small class sizes, and expanded academic support to help you graduate.

To our military veteran students – CIAT was approved for online learning prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, so your tuition benefits using your GI Bill will remain unchanged. The VA has not yet approved an extension to MHA (BAH) education benefits for resident students, but we will continue to keep you updated as more announcements arise.

We realize that some of you were looking forward to coming back into the classroom and interacting in person. While we hope that the many advantages of our Campus Live and FLEX Online formats will continue to resonate with you, we stand ready to help answer any questions you might have moving forward. Feel free to reach out to the CIAT Management team for direct answers to any questions you may have: management@ciat.edu

Thank you for choosing CIAT as your partner in your educational journey to help you launch or advance your tech career. There has been no better time to give it your all and invest in yourself for a better future. Your success drives us every day to teach you, motivate you, and support you through your finish line.

With great pride, – Jamie Doyle,

President & Founder
