California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) and Edcor are expanding educational opportunities for employees and their families by enhancing tuition benefits to make career-focused education more accessible and affordable.
Building on a longstanding partnership, eligible employees whose organizations administer tuition assistance through Edcor now have access to CIAT’s enhanced education benefits, including the CIAT Workforce Grant, Tuition Match, and a Preferred Tuition Rate that also extends to eligible family members.
As employers continue to invest in workforce development, CIAT is committed to helping organizations maximize the value of their education benefits through flexible, workforce-aligned programs designed for working adults.
The specific benefit an employee qualifies for depends on the tuition assistance their employer already provides through Edcor. Depending on that contribution, employees may qualify for the CIAT Workforce Grant, which covers the tuition remaining after the employer’s contribution, or CIAT Tuition Match, which matches the employer’s contribution dollar for dollar. Eligible family members can also access the Preferred Tuition Rate.
Employees can pursue education in high-demand fields including cybersecurity, cloud administration, artificial intelligence, software development, business, healthcare administration, human resources, project management, and more, across CIAT’s associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees, certificates, and accelerated certification bootcamps.
“Employers recognize that investing in education strengthens both their workforce and their organization,” said Jamie Doyle, President and CEO of California Institute of Applied Technology. “Our partnership with Edcor reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to affordable, career-focused education while helping employers develop and retain the talent they need for the future.”
“Our clients want their employees upskilled in the latest tech and finished with their degrees and programs, and this partnership makes that easier. The Workforce Grant, Tuition Match, and Preferred Tuition Rate cut real costs for employees and their families. And because CIAT’s programs are stackable, employees build credentials step by step in fields like cybersecurity, data analytics, and AI and Machine Learning, adding real skills and industry certifications at every level. No matter where someone starts, every credit counts toward their next milestone, which is exactly the kind of solution today’s workforce needs,” said Sara Van Wagoner, Vice President of Corporate Growth at Edcor.
