(Nov. 20th, 2022) – California Institute of Arts and Technology is proud to announce its rank in San Diego as one of the top workplaces, featured by the San Diego Tribune in its its annual Workplace Survey.
Out of 72 small companies chosen for this year’s list of Top Workplaces, CIAT came in at number 12.
San Diego’s Top Workplaces are chosen not by the Tribune, but by company employees themselves. A survey is issued to all employees at an array of companies, and the workplaces with the best overall response from their team earn a spot on the list.
Companies are ranked on a number of key survey metrics, including:
- Alignment – The direction of the company overall
- Coaching – The degree of excellence in employee instruction
- Connection – The overall culture between employees, management, and executives
- Engagement – The measure of responsiveness to feedback
- Leadership – The degree of competence in managers and executives
- Basics – Pay, benefits, and work/life balance
A company must score highly on each of these metrics in order to be considered as a Top Workplace. Once chosen, Top Workplaces are then ranked amongst each other.
