Begin Software Development Program
Welcome to a new term full of fresh opportunities to build your exciting future with us here at CIAT! Within the first 6 months of this program, you will learn and understand the fundamentals of design for software, web, mobile applications, giving you a foundation in programming and launchpad to enter the workforce in an entry-level coding position.
You’re approaching the halfway point in your Associate Degree program!
After 7.5 months, you will be roughly halfway through your Associate Degree program. Since our programs are stackable, your first core 12 courses provide the foundational skills needed to begin your software development career, and continue into the Applied Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development program. CIAT encourages entering the workforce and provides flexible schedules so that students can have the opportunity to work and utilize and build their fresh skills on the job.
Potential job title: Entry Level Software Developer
Salary range: $35-55k / yr*
You’ve potentially gained experience in the workforce, and are well on your way to earning your Associate Degree in Software Development.
Between your first and second year, you will have earned your degree and will have had the opportunity to learn the skills and develop the portfolio that will help boost you into more advanced programming positions.
Potential job title: Front-End Developer
Salary range: $55-75k / yr*
You’re now accelerating in the workforce and have a competitive edge, having earned your degree.
Congratulations on earning your Associate of Applied Science in Software Development! After earning your degree, you are now in a great position to grow into roles that require advanced knowledge of software design and architecture, programming languages, app development, web development, systems development and administration, client/server architecture, data structures, data modeling, and database management.

Salary range: $75-130k / yr*
