Budgeting is about more than tracking expenses. It’s about creating a system that supports your goals, reduces stress, and helps you stay in control of your financial future. In this interactive budgeting workshop, students will learn how to build a realistic, personalized budget based on their individual income, responsibilities, and lifestyle constraints.

The workshop is built around the Four Pillars of Budgeting, showing how each pillar connects and works together to create a sustainable financial plan:

  • Budgeting Fundamentals: Learn the building blocks of creating and maintaining a working budget.
  • Time Management and Budgeting: Understand how time, planning, and habits influence spending decisions.
  • Financial and Life Goals: Learn how to align your budget with both short-term needs and long-term goals.
  • Stress and Budgeting: Explore how stress impacts financial choices and how budgeting can create stability and confidence.

By the end of the session, students will walk away with practical tools and strategies they can immediately apply. Participants will also create a simple action plan, including one or two specific steps they will implement right away to improve their budgeting habits.

To support continued learning, students will receive a reference resource list that includes helpful articles, websites, apps, and other tools they can use after the workshop to stay on track and adapt their budget as life changes.

This workshop is designed to empower students with the knowledge and confidence to build an effective budget they can continue using long after the session ends.
