CIAT Application - Personal Statement Guidelines

Frequently Asked Questions
There are 3 main criteria used to evaluate acceptance:
- Your previous academic history: Prospective students with less than a 2.0 GPA in high school or previous college attempts may be deferred acceptance and be required to elevate their GPA at a local community college prior to re-applying.
- Your CIAT application: Our team reviews your career goal and personal statement in your application as a strong consideration for acceptance. CIAT encourages students who are motivated and passionate about building a career in the growing technology field to apply.
- Your one-on-one Admissions interview: In order to maintain our high graduation and job placement rates, we only accept career-focused individuals ready to commit to CIAT’s rigorous curriculum. Learn more about the CIAT Admissions Interview process.
We strongly believe that everyone with the right motivation and commitment to building a career deserves a shot at success. However, immediate acceptance is not always guaranteed. We average around a 75% acceptance rate. Acceptance may be deferred based on previous academic history.
If you are not granted full acceptance, your eligibility could be contingent upon the completion of a 2-week CIAT Readiness course or deferred until a later date with a clear path of action of what is needed prior to re-applying.
