Campus Selection Agreement

Starting March 1, 2022, all active students are requested to complete a Campus Selection Agreement to confirm their desired campus preference. Students may elect to be registered as an ONLINE student or as a RESIDENT student.

ONLINE students elect to complete all course requirements 100% online.

RESIDENT students will participate in CIAT’s Hybrid Campus option and will be required to attend one class session, their final exam, at CIAT’s National City campus. CIAT may change the in-person attendance policy at any time to meet compliance requirements or improve academic experience. Residency status is intended for students located within reasonable travel distance to CIAT National City campus or reside in the state of California. | Learn More

Impact For Military Students: I understand that if I elect to be certified as a resident student and I do not meet the campus attendance requirements, my VA certification status will be changed to online for that given term. This will reduce my Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) to the online rate resulting in a financial debt that I will owe to the VA. If your status is changed from Resident to Online for two consecutive terms, you will be automatically converted to an Online student.

CIAT’s Hybrid Campus I agree and understand that NO exceptions can be made to the hybrid attendance requirements, including but not limited to the following scenarios:
- If I have recurring health concerns or test positive for COVID
- If I am unable to secure transportation to and from CIAT campus
- If I have a financial hardship restricting me from traveling to CIAT campus
- If I have a work scheduling conflict
- If I have a personal or family emergency
- Any other scenarios that would restrict my ability to consistently meet the on-campus attendance requirement each term
