Program Hours: 225 Hours (270 Credit Hours)
Successful graduates will be fully prepared and qualified for positions as Graphic Designers either in a corporate or freelance (self-employed) position. This program introduces the student to the concepts, language and basics of graphic design and then prepares the student to achieve certification in the most popular computer software programs used by the Graphic Design community such as:
1. Adobe Photoshop
2. Adobe Illustrator
3. Adobe InDesign
*Program is not eligible for FAFSA funding.
Upon completion of the Certificate in Graphic Design program, the graduate will be able to:
- Create visual concepts, using computer software.
- Communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers.
- Select color, images, or logo designs that represent a particular idea or identity to be used in advertising and promotions.
270 credit hours required. All courses are required.

According to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of graphic designers is projected to grow 4 percent from 2016 to 2026, slower than the average for all occupations. Graphic designers are expected to face strong competition for all available positions.
The median annual wage for graphic designers was $48,700 in April 2017.
