Academic & Community Partnerships

We partner with academic and community organizations to promote IT education and career development opportunities.

At CIAT, our mission is to forge impactful and lasting collaborations with corporations, educational institutions, the military, and the community. We are dedicated to fostering a dynamic ecosystem that bridges the gap between academia and industry, empowering individuals with cutting-edge knowledge and skills, and driving innovation to shape a brighter future.

The Employment Training Panel (ETP) is a California state program that fosters job creation and retention through workforce development. It provides funding to employers to assist in upgrading the skills of their workers through training that leads to good-paying, long-term jobs. The ETP was created in 1982 and is funded by a special tax on California employers, making it a performance-based program that helps ensure California businesses remain competitive. The ETP aims to strengthen the state’s economy, boost business competitiveness, and enhance workforce capabilities across various industries by offering financial support for employee training.

Delete the Divide

Delete The Divide is an initiative led by the County of Los Angeles to advance digital equity in underserved communities through partnerships, infrastructure investments, and technology resources that empower residents and small businesses. CIAT and Delete The Divide share a common mission – to extend opportunities for workforce advancements for those who need it most. Through the CIAT and Delete the Divide partnership, CIAT extends academic and financial support to Los Angeles community members through exclusive academic scholarships, personalized academic and IT career planning support, and complimentary loaner laptops to any student pursuing their degree at CIAT without access to a computer.

National Academy Foundation

NAF is a national non-profit organization that transforms the high school experience to prepare students for college, career, and future success. The Academy of Information Technology curriculum focuses on career-focused curricula and authentic learning projects into the traditional high school experience and offers real-world application opportunities. CIAT partners with NAF to support high school graduates in translating their early education experience into a path to earn their degree and transition into employment. NAF alumni can take advantage of exclusive tuition discounts, personalized career support, and more.
